Psychotherapy and Counseling Delivered via Telehealth in Illinois, Indiana, Texas, and Connecticut

Congratulations on taking this big step in your mental health journey - seeking therapy.

Whether you are struggling with sadness, worry, work-related stress, substance use issues, relationship difficulties, or emotions resulting from traumatic experience(s), I offer a supportive ear and a nonjudgmental environment in which we can work together to identify and implement strategies to move you toward your goals. I strive to assist clients in fully exploring their emotions in an environment characterized by compassion, acceptance, and safety.

I provide psychotherapy via telehealth to adults who are seeking to make healthy changes in their lives. I am proud to offer teletherapy services in Illinois, Indiana, Texas, and Connecticut.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I received a B.S. in Liberal Arts and  and M.S. in Criminal Justice from Excelsior University and an M.A. in Social Work from the University of Chicago. I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers.  For the past several years, my practice has focused at the intersection of trauma, addiction, and mental health.

When not managing my professional responsibilities, I can often be found reading horror/thriller novels. I love cooking and have deep passion for making pizza, BBQ, and baking sourdough bread and pastries. I also enjoy spending time with my spouse and our two cats, Pixel and Polygon.  I am based in Highland Park, IL.

My Approach

I provide evidence-based therapy, that is, therapy that has been demonstrated to be effective by the best available research evidence. In our work together, we will collaborate to identify some of the unhelpful thoughts and behavioral patterns that have prevented you from being your best self.

I rely on a client-centered approach to care, recognizing that each individual has unique needs, challenges and strengths. I take a holistic view of each person and consider the physical, emotional, behavioral, and spiritual components of well-being. I feel strongly that connection with values - those things in life that are the most important to us - facilitates growth and promotes wellbeing. I am particularly interested in partnering with my clients as they seek to better understand and apply their values. Through the process of therapy, my clients develop insight into the relationship between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while building skills needed to make lasting change.
